Online Series: Movement Ritual & Dance Explorations: Finding Support and Connection ~ with Joy Cosculluela

4 Mondays, January 10-31, 10am-11:30am Pacific Time | $65

“Imagine how alive you would be if your kinesthetic sense were to be heightened and cultivated beyond its present consciousness.”  –Anna Halprin

In this workshop, participants will explore structured somatic movements devised by Anna Halprin that help relax the mind, expand range of movement, and spark creative expression. We’ll explore movements that cultivate a sense of support, explore moving through the spine and feel how these branch out to other parts of the body. In the process, we get in touch with ourselves more fully. Movements are adaptable to each person’s unique being and dance explorations encourage each person’s expression to come through. Drawing and writing enhance and integrate our creative experience. No dance experience needed.

Please have a comfortable space to move and any type of drawing materials on hand.

Open to all. No dance or art experience needed.

Please note: Tamalpa does not record nor permit the recording of any classes or workshops due to the sensitive and sometimes vulnerable nature of the work, and to protect student privacy.
