Tamalpa Experience Workshops

If your body could speak,
what would it say?

These 2-day intensive workshops are offered twice a year (Winter and Spring) and are designed to give participants an experiential understanding of our work in movement-based healing arts. Recommended as an introduction to our training programs.

The Tamalpa Experience: Dialogues Between Life And Art Workshop with Daria Halprin introduces an approach that enlivens dialogues between body and imagination, life experiences and art making. Using movement, drawing, writing and improvisational performance, participants will tap into art's symbolic language to explore current life themes and generate new resources.

Tamalpa is also offering TAMALPA INTRODUCTORY DAYS (Fall and Summer). This one-day workshop is designed for those who are interested in our Level One training program and for those who would like an one-day introduction to our work. They will introduce the Life/Art Process and our inter-modal approach. They will include movement, drawing and writing. Join Taira Restar, who teaches in the Level One training programs, for this day of serious fun!

Included in the cost of the Tamalpa Experience and Introductory Day workshops is credit towards Level One training program tuition. See the Schedules below for further information.

All of these workshops takes place in the historic Mountain Home Studio of dance pioneer Anna Halprin.
