Tamalpa Experience Workshops with Daria Halprin
These two-day workshops introduce an approach which enlivens dialogues between body and imagination, life experiences and art making.
Using movement, drawing, writing and improvisational performance, participants will tap into art's symbolic language to explore current life themes and generate new resources. Each workshop takes place at the historic Mountain Home Studio of dance pioneer Anna Halprin.

A free introductory evening
Meet the Work will be held at the historic Mountain Home Studio in Kentfield, California. It is open to the public and free of charge. It will take place on January 11, 2008 from 7:00-9:30 P.M.
Facilitated by Taira Restar, Tamalpa's Assistant Director and a Tamalpa teacher.

SotoMotion presents Performance Lab
The Performance Lab is movement theater model that creates a space to explore, improvise, express and create in movement, voice and spoken word. The class works through both improvisation and developing material. Participants will work in solo, duet, trio and ensemble configurations and is open to all levels of experience.

Soto has been developing this work for over 20 years at the Tamalpa Institute Training Program, in Europe, classes and private coaching and directing. Soto has been teaching, performing and studying movement since 1968. He has taught internationally since 1979 throughout Europe, in Japan, Lebanon and Australia. He has a wide background in Post Modern Dance, movement studies, Martial Arts and Body Work.
