Sue Martin, MA
Sue Martin, MA, author of Using the Body's Wisdom to Heal Trauma, is a somatic expressive arts consultant working with individuals and agencies nationwide to heal the effects of trauma. Sue has over twenty-seven years experience in trauma prevention. She co-founded one of California's first battered women's shelters (1977), authored one of the nation's first domestic violence intervention curriculums (1984), and served for eighteen years on the staff of the Family Violence Prevention Fund. Sue, a graduate of Stanford University, is a guest faculty member at the University of Califiornia at Sonoma State and the Tamalpa Institute. She has provided intensive staff development training nationwide, including for SAGE, an organization assisting women recovering from torture, prostitution and substance abuse. Ms. Martin's current passion is combining somatic and expressive arts approaches in working with attachment disorders and trauma.
